Purchased gas in Jersey. Filled the tank (in Jersey only an attendant can pump the gas, what a PIA normally but it was raining at this time so WTF)...Went to start the engine, she wouldn't start. No activity.... nothing, only the small key sign with the brake. Tried it a couple of times. Let 'er sit a few seconds, then she started...?? That never happened before. I have 19.5k miles - 2 years old. The only thing I did notice was a G35 either an 07 or 08 directly behind me at the pump......Could the electronics of the "smart key" been Out smarted???

 

Was the smart key in your pocket next to your cell? If so, that's a big NO NO.

 

^ Cell with key FOB Not an issue anymore AS LONG AS you had the tsb performed where they replace your key fobs.

My suggestion when this happens, get out of the car and then lock and unlock the car with you remote that might help the car recognize that the key exists...

 

Yeah,,,, I had that done last year. Hasn't happened again...I'm still thinking that there was "interference" created by the other G right behind me!!! . I'll post if it happens again.

 

If that was the case, each and every local car meet would turn into an Infiniti graveyard.
I was at a meet last weekend and was surrounded by 07+ sedans. The car started just fine. Interference maybe... but I doubt it was from the other G.
