price for DIY maintenance parts
Can you give me the part number for the air filters??!? My sisters has two small square filters and all the auto part stores here have this huge rectangle ones listed for her car, and the one store I went to that could actually order the right one was 50 a pop.....
I don't know them off the top of my head, but the cabin filter and the intake air filters are the same as the g37's. (Dual Intakes) The large rectangle is for 2006 g35's and before. The 07+ sedans use "square" style filters. If you are paying $50 a filter you could get K&N or AFE filters (that last almost forever if you maintain them) for like $60-90 for both. Just buy a recharge kit.
nissan was more expensive than Inifiniti for rear pads for me - by 10+ bucks actually, I was surprised.
I got a K&N filter and MobilOne oil from Autozone for only $30, they were running a special. I'll probably do all the maintenance except for the 30K myself - simply because they'll do a thorough inspection. When I looked in the service manual it didn't mention changing all the stuff you had mentioned you were looking for parts for - precautionary?

popcornten,
maybe i was reading it wrong. i though mine said at 30k you're supposed to do the coolant, engine oil/filter, engine air and cabin air.
i thought 30k was a little overkill on the coolant.
heck, my mom's subaru wants you to flush the braking system every 30k! i'm getting ready to do that for her.
i did go to the nissan dealer for two oil and a set of airs and picked up the nissan coolant and a quart of manual trans fluid (very hard to find gl4 75w85).
i was ready to buy everything at thenismoshop. their prices were good but thought they were a bit high on shipping at over 30 bucks.

30k Schedule 1&2 -replace engine oil & filter, engine air filter, cabin filter, do inspections.
Premium Maintenance - replace everything anyone at Infiniti could think of.
Really, I wouldn't mess with the serpentine belt that a trained technician in Tochigi, Japan installed, until at least 60k. The way I read it, on Schedule 1 it is replaced only after 120k (150k?), however, on premium maintenance it is replaced every 30k. You can only reconcile the two schedules by saying that Infiniti put everything in there anyone could think of.
