I think Nissan owns Staten Island.... so many Infiniti's, Altimas and Maximas around. No second looks... probably because everyone else also has one.

I get a lot at the Nissan Dealership where I service my car.... Heck the service advisor even knocks off an extra 10% for work performed

it's a head turner, but not whip-lash category. The rims definitely make a difference..the stockers make it look like an altima.

Getting rims helped me get more attention. The exhaust helped when I punch it.

But in stock form... not so much.

then this is the car for you - if you do some nice mods at least. I see plenty of G35s and I get all excited and look in and it's someone that's obviously not an "enthusiast". But when you see debadged, exhaust, maybe rims - you know what you're lookin at. You won't stand out in a crowd, but you will in the enthusiast's eyes

Absolutely. For one thing, BMWs are as common as civics in NYC, so when they see my young face pushing the 08 G, the heads turn. Most times its flattering, but I won't lie, sometimes its annoying. One time I just wanted to pump gas and head onto the highway, some random guy starts "schooling" me on the how fast my car is, and is the car mine or my folks.

I used to when I first got the car. I remember the first week I had it, I'd pull into parking lots and folks would stare, yell "Nice car!" and once at a stop light, this couple pulls up beside me in an X5, I could see the woman staring at my car, I could read her lips and she asks her husband "what kind of car is that?" and I guess her husband looked over and told her and she says "that's really pretty looking".

Since then, everyone and their grandmother decided to purchase a V36 G35. BMW's and G35's are like Civics around here so no one really gives it a second look anymore.

It's ok with me though, I only bought the car to please myself.

Here in Atlanta, the G is unfortunately the yuppie mobile. So, no, I think I'm the only one snapping my head when i see one drive by as it pisses me off sometimes that I bought such a common car... the Ford Taurus for the 30k crowd if you will.

An Audi dude was checking mine out the other day, and got some compliments from a BMW driver I bought some tires from.

I know, 07+ only but I had to throw in my two cents for da ole skool.
