ill give my little writeup since its fresh in my mind since last night.....

1. open the glovebox. hinges come out easier at an angle so pull towards you but at an angle. (make sure to remove the cord on the left side first)
2.remove all the screws you see now on the cover.
3.pull the panel UNDER the cover, just pull down and it will come off.
4.the cover itself is attached to the silver panel up top, and black panel on the side. pull side panel towards you and out. tug the cover alittle down and towards you, it will seperate from the silver panel easily.
5.filter cover can be easily unhinged, then slight tug towards door and it will be free.
6.make sure the arrow on the filter is pointing up. DONE!

i was also surprised my filter wasnt as nasty as i imagined after 50k miles. also stock filter wasnt carbon impregnated (my new one is)

Smile 2006 G35 Coupe Air Filter Replacement

Its easier than you think. Takes 5-10 min. No need to remove molding or kick plate as seen in other posts.

1. Pop off bottom cover under glove box.
2. Remove screw on bottom left
3. Open glove box and remove 4 screws straight across top
4. Drop glove box down and to left (no need to fully take off)
5. Unclip light and move to left
6. Unclip white cover from right side and remove by sliding left
7. Take out old filter and put new one (sits on top of shelf)
When putting cover on the filter it should be sitting up on the cover shelf.
8. Reverse order and done.

Welcome to G35Driver and thanks for the post Mike, but it would probably be of more help if it was posted in the correct section. This is the 2nd gen sedan section, and you're talking about a 1st gen coupe repair ( and in a three year old thread no less).
