thinking about g37 sedan
hi guys,
i'm a lurker around here and don't post much. im thinking about picking up an 09 g37s sedan. i definitely want it to be in six speed, which i know it a pretty tough find. i think the car looks pretty good except for the wheels. i was wondering what are the chances that the dealer will swap wheels from the g37 coupe onto the sedan for me before i take delivery of the car. i realize i will have to pay a little bit since the wheels are 19's instead of 18's ... how much should i expect to pay? if i get those wheels on the car ... it will look great all around and i'll def be happy with my purchase.
thanks in advance.

hmm ... i feel like if i dont get the wheels swapped its gonna break the deal for me ... we'll c though, i hope me walking out because they wont do the swap for me will force them to do it esp wit the car market being the way it is ... if not i will just wait til september for the 2010 shawd tl 6mt to come out ... i really really do not like the stock wheels on the g sedan ... but the car is pretty sweet

The stock wheels aren't that bad, the 17" stock wheels are cheesy.
As for the Acura TL, the lack of touch screen on the nav with that funky **** looking interface device in combination with lack of technology doesn't make me a fan. I am really put off by the exterior of the car. The model previous was much better looking. Hopefully, the 2010 will have some improvements.

The stylists at Acura have fallen off the deep end. ![Eek3](https://g35driver.com/forums/images/smilies/eek3.gif)
The current TSX and TL's front end look like total ***. I, personally, don't care how well they may perform (they're not even sport sedans, are they?) because I just can't get over the ugly exterior.
I don't think any car dealership is going to allow you to swap rims in order to close the deal. Just get the 37, and buy a used set of coupe wheels off a forum member. You can always sell the stockers to recoup some money, or use them as winter wheels if you live in that type of climate.

You can't just get them "swapped" at the dealership. They don't have extra sets laying around, but they'd be happy to order you new one's for 900+ per WHEEL
Get the car, and pick up a used set.
I got mine for 1500, immaculate and used only for a few hundred miles so brand new tires. I got mine after my stock tires went bald so I would need $1000 in tires anyway, so the rims technically only cost me about 500 plus shipping. (And I sold my old rims/tires for 500
)
You can get a decent set for 1000 no tires, you're looking at closer to 1500 for a set with no damage and tires - which isn't a bad deal

dude, just take some time to browse eBay or Craiglist for the wheels!!! NEVER get them from dealers; they'll charge you an arm and a leg! I just bought my G37s wheels from a local for $900(with 30% tire life left and a minor two inch curb rash on one of the wheel, free pickup) after seeing them on Craiglist. If you buy from eBay, it'll cost you anywhere from $900-$1500 depending on the condition of the wheels, plus $200 for shipping. Just be patience!

I have an 08 X Sport package. Picked up a set of the OEM 18" sport rims in perfect condition for roughly $700 off ebay. I had to buy 4 TPMS sensors and those cost about $400 from a dealer.
I could of had a set of OEM 18" rims, tires, and TPMS sensors (off an 08 G35X Sport as well) for roughly $1300 local to me off ebay but I missed that deal, thinking I could have it for less..
