Installed it some time ago. Rather useful in some situations, seems like now I can park faster

Don't forget, the roads are very muddy here and my camera gets dirty often even now, in summer. So I don't have to go out and clean it, just listening to the beeps
And if camera is clear sometimes there is a situation, when I don't look to the camera, looking to the mirror for example, and a child or a dog could suddenly run near the back of my car - so it BEEPS
P.S. BTW, as Link wrote, everybody here has it as a standart feauture on euroinfiniti. My friend with EX35 (USA) has it too with the rear camera. And why does new FX35 have both front and rear parktronics combining with a lot of cameras?

My wifes '09 Honda Pilot has both the camera and factory audible sensors in the front and rear. Beeps like crazy when you go through a drive through, luckily you can turn the beeper off with the push of a button.
you guys crack me up. pretty soon someone will post a DIY install for an aftermarket kit that "parallel parks" your car for you, like the lexus LS. just sit back and eat a peanut butter and jelly while your car slips into your spot. what happened to learning how to drive our cars lol...

In NYC, the situation is nearly similar to Europe - the parking spaces in Manhattan can get pretty tight and there are all kinds of obstacles (tree guards, uneven curbs, etc etc) that can damage the finish. Combined with poor rear visibility in the G, this is one time I regret not getting the rear view camera option and would welcome a solution that helps here.

exactly why i like the bumper beepers.
street parking is TIGHT in NYC, and you gotta inch into spots.
beepers are handy, esp if you don't have backup cam. Not everyone wants to buy the $$$$$$ nav package
The company whose system harp00n installed is based in Russia, I emailed them and the base unit they sell is an equivalent of US $90. However, I found a US-based aftermarket parking system+sensors for slightly more and may consider that option instead:

Looks nice, probably comes in handy a lot haha. It doesn't matter how good of a driver someone may be. It only takes one stupid mistake to hit something, and then you'll regret it haha. I wouldn't wanna go around telling my friends that I hit a parked car
