So guys, I've been gone for 3 months just got back and started up the car and notices that on warm up it was vibrating like crazy, so much so that i could hear it! So I looked under the hood and I found this......

So the Arm on the intake just Broke off. Should I just go back to stock for now? the intake on that side is just flopping around like a dead fish and is hitting the chassis. I guess I could take it to weld it back on but then it might just crack and break again. New Intakes? Lol THIS SUCKS!

If you really like them have it welded. I am guessing it is Al so might be a bit harder to find someone to TIG, but they are out there. A good one will most likely make the joint stronger than it was before. You may want to engineer some stronger brackets even and do the same on the other side while you are at it. Keep in mind you'll have to re-finish, but I bet you already knew that. You may not want to powder coat after the rework, the bake may be playing havoc with the alloy. I'd suggest finishing another way to avoid the chance that played into root cause of the failure.

My vote goes for going back to stock for now as you already know Squared until you either repair or get some new intakes. Not worth the risk of possibly further damaging your current intakes or something else in your engine bay. Wish you the best of luck with it man.
THanks guys, ugh Looks like I'm gonna be spending an hour going back to stock tomororw. I don' think i have enough time to get them welded and refinished. So Stock intakes then, i heard they are better than aftermarkets anyways since I have a full exhaust. Rawwr I loved the look under my hood!!

I really need to get off my butt and put a machine in my garage... I don't know why I keep putting it off.

use JB WELD (an epoxy type mix) i'm positive it will work, it's done miracles for me in the past.

How well do you think it would hold? I mean it'll be a pain if It just breaks again.Originally Posted by johnnyzee

i have drilled out head bolts on a motor, filled the hole with JB weld, let it dry, then drilled and taped the jb weld it self, it held my high compression head on better then the threads in the block did.Originally Posted by Csquared

Is there no Fujita warranty? How long have you had them.
What is the Fujita Air warranty?
Fujita Air warrants the product for replacement or repair of parts and/or workmanship for a period of ten years. Polishing is not warranted and will require touchup.

I got them second hand. I wonder if they would warranty it for me though.
