Hey Guys,

So, I need another power source. Is it possible to use the cigarette lighter socket to power like a cell phone charger? I know the manual says you shouldn't but...can you? I did some searches but didn't find anything conclusive. Thanks!

 

I use it all the time to charge my iphone. No problems.

I don't use it myself but I can't see why you would not be able to.

 

Just use it. If the cig lighter fuse blows, simply replace it (located behind panel near your left foot).

 

I've used to charge my cell phone and to plug in my radar detector. No problems yet, knocking on wood.

 

I've tried using it a few times and never works for me. It may just be a fuse, I didnt think of that...thanks guys.

 

yes, you could blow a fuse. And also aftermarket accessories arent for cig lighter because they push out the the metal tabs. So thats why you'll put your cig lighter back in and it wont stay in because the tabs are pushed out.

You can fix it just by pulling them in with a screwdriver just dont touch the center and blow a fuse :P

 

I have one of those little flashlights plugged into mine

 

Changed the fuse and it works perfectly...
