My Mother In Law put me on the task of finding something to cover the door switch area as it is chipping and looks like crap. In my research I see this isnt all that odd for it to be chipping and sounds like infiniti knows of the problem.

Anyway she asked for a aluminum look cover that would match the rest of the aluminum look in the car. The only thing I can find is complete sets and I dont want that. I only want the covers for the door switch areas on the 4 doors. Anybody have any ideas?

Yep it has been discussed a lot on the forums. I had mine replaced under warranty.. the material used in the new ones feels a different than the original.

So when Infiniti replaced yours they were different and a better quality? If so Ill just tell her to do that

 

Take it to the dealer. I just had mine replaced under warranty.

 

I had mine replaced under warranty also. The infiniti dealership knew about it.

 

Feels different, probably is a little bit tougher. it doesn't fell as smooth as the first one...
