Question G35 Vs G37?

How much HP and TQ does a G37 have?

I just went up against one, I didn't know it was a G37 and at first I found it weird because I wasn't gaining any distance (thinking it was a stock G35) then after like 2nd gear I was slowly moving away from him and I gained about a meter in front.

So how much Horsepower and torque does a G37 have? I've got the HFCs and Invidia installed and with this I can easily beat a stock G35 but I would have thought the G37 would have been harder to beat?

P.S. All driving was done on Private property!!

i expected so !
with a good catback and HFC you'll smoke'em easily !

However . . i have a doubt that a stock G35 will beat a G37 too !
new G37 sounds no promising at all . .
good i drive a G35 . LOL

G37 is not that much faster ... according to Road & Track they both have similar performance numbers...

Nice run bro, Now I need to get my hands on some HFC's and an Invidia Exhaust too.

From what i've been hearing about the 37 coupe, that a stock G35 sedan would pass em not with ease though. I didn't try it but i heard it alot .

I thought that with the new 7 speed Gear box, it would have more advantage over the G35,

As Glover has mentioned not impressing at all.

I'll take the better mileage w/ at least equal quickness. But I doubt anyone expected anything extraordinary from just a .2 liter boost.

According to Infiniti.com 328 hp for the G37 and 306 for the G35, 269 LB FT for the G37, 268 LB FT for the G35.

The hp difference gives it a little more bang for the buck at higher RPMs. The torque difference is insignificant, therefore off the line and into mid RPM range, these cars should be close to dead even. But that depends on the driver, launch, etc.

yeah, similar numbers for g37 coupe and 08 g35 sedan. however, there are stock g37s with d/r's doing high 12 sec. quarter mile runs (12.92). also, i don't know if this is the case for 35hr engines, there are tt g37's running safely at 540hp with stock internals.

- G37 have VQ37VHR while 07-08 G35 sedan have VQ35HR.
- Never seen any stock G37 goes into 12s, not even at low 13s.
- Never seen any TT G37 with stock internals makes over 500WHP either. Give us some proof to back up what you stated.

here's part three. i'll find the vid and link for part two. btw, mid 13's are more than common for g37's, both coupe and sedan.

I don't think there's a need for "stfu" either...

The problem with these threads is that you will always have those that will go to the end of the earth and back to defend what they drive and their decisions for driving it.
I say we all try to stick to the facts and if we post facts, have data to back it up.

Why can't we all just get along?

getting side tracked to the G37s coupe with AT and my AT awd..the 37 had stillen intakes highflows and exhaust. all i had was an stillen intake at the time. and 1st gear roll i had the 37 by half a car. so that tells you something.

Seer's original post has his time slips. 13.3 on stock wheels and tires on a 65 degree day and 12.9 on d/rs the same day. Also, I would imagine a 37hr sedan on drag radials would do just well or better.

edit: I would imagine the same goes for a 35hr sedan.
