you can't take too long a trip....I thought about it...you're only allowed 100km per day and I have to stay in the province.

That's crazy. What if you were planning to take a trip to see your family. It's not your fault takes so long to fix your car.

Good question, I don't know the answer. What can you do?
My problem is not with the dealer, because they didn't cause the problem. I bought the car from a Nissan dealership, problems happened and I brought it to this infiniti dealership. They're fixing it (at a big loss to them) and I can't complain.
The only thing I can get mad is that after bringing it in for the second time they should have ordered this part from the beginning and the wait wouldn't have been so long.
I guess after 3 weeks of trying to find the bad wiring they decided to replace the whole thing. They should have done that from the start.
If I had to take a trip, I would have told them and I'm hoping they would understand.

I just hope I get it soon....at least before Christmas.

I know it just frustrating sometimes. But at least they are working on it.

I really hope you'll get your baby back soon.

Usually, you need to tell them about your travel plans when you pick up the car. I'm not sure about Infiniti but I used to do that with Toyota when I got their loaners.

Last time when I got a car from Enterprise b/c my car was in the shop (someone smashed into my car), they have the same clause (you cannot drive out of state...etc.). However, I told them that I might want to go to Canada and they just changed the agreement to include those states.

FINALLY!!!!!!!
Since October 23 2009 (6 Weeks) I got my car back!!!!!!!!!!!!
So nice to be in my OWN vehicle.

I just hope that all the problems have been fixed now that they installed a whole new wiring harness.

I will post details on the installation once I get the invoice for the work done. Apparently they have to go over it before they type it out?

Which won't be looked at until Tuesday...the Technician and Service Manager have to go over what was done, that's what I'm told.

I'm just glad I got my car back!
