Adding factory backup camera?

Is it possible to add the factory backup camera to a car that already has navigation but doesn't have the camera from the factory?

Thanks,
Kevin

Kevin, Ive looked into many different aspects of this.
You can go aftermarket and place is by the license plate its cheaper that way.
The original one would cost you close to $1500 to do..

Ouch thanks...

I'm hunting for a Gray '07 or '08 G35S sedan with all the trimmings, and I've found a couple w/o the cam and wondered if it was an easy retrofit... If I wasn't such a fan of the S's seats and brakes, I'd probably go with a loaded non-S and just add the paddle shifters over a weekend. Based on the pricing I'm seeing, I may still end up going that way, I guess.

I'm just not sure if I'm willing to spend $28k to get a 2008 with 28K + miles on it, and I'm not seeing the deals I'd really like on Gray ones.

if it doesn't have the backup camera it means it doesn't have navi as well.
I got mine as such a good deal, which is why i didn't care much to look for others with navi/back camera. Although it a great connivence.
There selling a sand blue g35s 08 fully loaded with everything with 22k on for 28.
You can prob get it cheaper w/o that package though

'07's don't have a backup camera unless you have the tech package.

$1500 is high but, I'm still interested. My 07 x has navi without a backup camera.
Could you pass on where you found the information? I've been searching for some time now and can't find anything but the license plate cameras.

Thanks in advance!

I've thought about that. My problem is more about the details. What do I need beyond the camera? Does the Nav/stud.onWheels system have the connection? If not, can it or do I have to change everything? Etc...
If I can buy the "wing(?)" with the camera and run wires, I could do that. Much more and I'm not sure. ...just need more information.

After much time spent on here, I can't recall one person installing a factory backup camera mainly due to the cost and the wiring not being in place. Lots of after market setups using the AUX.
