i noticed a noise coming only from the drivers side door speakers, sounds like static or interference but happens when the radio is off as well as on. has anyone noticed this? puzzling because it happens when the radio is off so don't think its an issue with the frequency or radio signal. '07 G35X technology package

 

Do you have a blackberry or other smart phone in the car or your pocket? The noise could be caused by the phone.

 

i do usually carry a phone in my pocket while driving but its not a blackberry or smart phone. i'll try a test of leaving my phone away from the car and see if I still hear it. thanks for the suggestion.

 

Keep in mind that just because the radio is not in use the nav etc. may well be which would keep the amp on.

On my other car that I have installed an after market sound system my old phone would put a buzz type of sound into the system when it appeared to transfer from one tower to another or acquire a system.
