09-10 Nav Update
How come the new nav update (09-10) is cheaper than the one for 08-09?
I'm not complaining, just wondering.

Yeah, it even mentions that you need to get it done after December 1st for it to be the 09-10. And it's a completely different screen shot than before, my previous bookmark failed. Of course, the link still has the Version 8.2 name.
But...I definitely didn't want to pay 199, the regular price for the 08-09 and even the 149 price, the sale price was too high.
To pay less for what I wanted (more updated), I think I'm okay with that!

Seeing as you can buy a stand alone hand held unit with the latest map for less than that it's about time the prices came down on these things. Especially with cellphone apps that are doing the same thing for free. The map update for my wife's Cadillac is $199. Totally ridiculous. It's a freaking 25 cent DVD, how about charge me 29.99 plus shipping and handling?

I wish your 2 cents had something to do with my question though.
I'm wondering why it's cheaper for me to update to the most recent map then it would've been (like two months ago) to update the maps you have in your car, Todd.
I can only assume the price has been lowered, because as you said, most people are cheap. Well, not cheap necessarily, but unwilling to pay the previous price. But to add some more cents to the jar, I think I'll probably update by the new year....assuming I plan on keeping the car. The 129 might be low enough for me to consider doing it.
