I'll probably be looking to replace my current G right about then. Hmm...

I'm replacing my car in 2010.

Contenders seem to be down to TL SHAWD 6MT and G37 S 6MT. Compared to the beak of the TL, G37 Sport still looks good. I'd feel a little better about the boxy "vents" if they were actually functional to cool those big brakes.

Elsewhere on the net (sorry, forgot where), there's a comparison of TL and G37 S. The TL actually has functional brake cooling vents and exhibited no fade in hard track driving compared to the bigger brakes on the G37.

One other complaint: What is it with all these dang shades of gray?!? The two new colors are just more shades of gray. Slate this slate that, smokey quartz, graphite shadow, white - it all spells blah to me. The one flamboyant color is just plain 'ol arrest me red. What happened to dark burgundy, emerald greens, deep blue greens, etc...? Do some "color experts" believe that is "too 90s"?

Pad material also has a lot to do with it. The stock S pads, on the G37, just doesn't seem up to the task.

As for colors, there are two predominant and popular colors in the US and abroad --- White for the former, and Silver for the latter. Infiniti is just capitalizing on it, especially since the G is a global vehicle.

Ultimately, though, the 2009 Acura TL SH-AWD couldn't claw its way back from the drubbing given to it by the sheer speed of the 2009 Infiniti G37. It doesn't hurt that the G37 really shrinks around its driver when you want it to and expands when you don't. In this respect, the G37 is the four-door sports car you always wanted, the car that lets you change and grow up without forgetting where you came from.

This just a mid-cycle refresh, not a model change.

^^^100% agree

Most company only changes the packages in mid cycle and change the whole car in 5-6 years. Infiniti does a lot more and more often.

Unfortunatley that is because Infiniti constantly finds itself taking a back seat. Their refreshes are necessary to rejuvinate interest and sales in their product. The consumer benefits, but I think it clearly shows Infinti is constantly playing catch up just to keep their heads above water. From that perspetive, I don't see it as good thing.

Really?

I don't see any better looking(style is subjective) , well ballanced, reliable in this $ segment.
