Bought my used '08 a few weeks ago, LOVE it! 7K miles (at purchase) still smells like a shoe store; one that carries nice shoes, that is.

My plans are to have Grubbs Infiniti perform the maintenance, at LEAST until after the warranty expires. I have never owned a car of this calibre and have hired out vehicle maintenance VERY few times over my 30+ years of owning cars, trucks, motorcycles, jet skis, boats, etc . . .

Any "Reader's Digest" stories of what to expect out of dealership maintenance is the goal of this thread. Is there any "registration" with Infiniti? If so -- what are the pros and cons?

One other thing: The TX license plates look have a very un-finished look on my G, where is a good place to get license plate frames? I'm open to having "INFINITI" frame(s) but NO dealer logo.

Regards an TIA,
MTM

Hey! Congrats!!!!
I recently traded our 05 G35 Sedan for a 08 G35X
Not sure what to expect from your local Infiniti.
My experience has been, if you do your own oil changes, keep dates/mileage/and receipts for filter and oil.

I had an engine problem with my 05 Sedan and my local Infiniti gave me a little grief about only having documented date/mileage for my oil changes. Luckily, I always buy my filters at my local Nissan dealer and they printed several pages of my purchases. Had no problems getting engine warranty once I showed them those receipts.

My recommendation would be to do the oil changes yourself with synthetic oil and Nissan filters. I use Mobil 1 Fully Syn. When they took the front of my engine cover off and the pan, even the techs commented on how clean my engine was!!! I change it between 3 and 3.5K miles. Overkill?? Well, I got one of the cleanest looking engines that they've ever seen!!!
I even got to see it and took a few pics with my phone.
Wally world has 5 qrt jugs for 26 and sometimes 22 on sale.
