Just got a '08 g35s sedan in liquid platinum and was wanting to have some fun and burn some rubber.
Anyone know good places (cheap track) that I can get a top speed at in north texas, in particular fort worth?
Also i'm wanting to make this baby sound more fierce, what are the first (and easiest) performance mods that I can do? I'm thinking z-tubes and pop chargers, but those wont matter if I change the intake entirely...
Any suggestions would be sweet, and I'll post some pics soon.

Hi Sam,

You've got quite a selection up there. Here are several where you can do it legally. Although i don't think you can actually top off in any of the straights on these tracks.

You may also want to check out some schools as it's sometimes cheaper to do a drivers education class (which, if you haven't done before, is highly recommended).

For making the car louder, the cheapest route, i think, would be the use of an aftermarket intake.

Here are a couple of clips of mine:

^for top speed you're gonna have to do it illegally and put others at risk. No tracks have nearly a long enough straight to get near top speed. Texas World Speedway in college station has one of the longer straights - you could do a weekend track day there

Get an exhaust. By far the best for sound, you can find some used Stillens in the marketplace.

It's just the status screen with the climate control on the bottom half and the music stuff on the top, but the audio is off, so it's blank.

Also 08 G35 Sedan with Sport / Prem package here.
Let me ask, is your throttle response very abrupt? Sorta like all or nothing when just needing a little? I just installed the hypertech sport programmer and it smoothed out my throttle response big time. I have a more uniform throttle now. Just wondering if other 08s were like mine was? Not sure if I like it or not...but test concluded +7 more hp!
All stock except Betty's grounding kit and Hypertech Tuner.
For what I am reading with our engine and year, some free flowing dual air filters, cat-back exhaust and tune is all you need. Wouldn't waste $$ on any intakes etc.. IMO

Nope, no part at all. Aftermarket intake or stock are your choices.

I haven't noticed anything like that headshot... but I also drive in stick mode or paddle shift 99% of the time.

E-ticket - what is the original part called between the intake and the engine that the z-tube replaces? Why wouldn't a straight tube have better airflow than what's in it now?
