Price is down compared to '09 6MT with Premium
Price is up because premium package is now standard.
If you want your 6MT with premium package, the price for the '10 seems to be a little bit lower than the '09, especially if you factor in the rear view monitor which is standard on the '10 6MT and wasn't even part of the premium package on the '09. They've cheapened up a few things, though - I understand the '09 lumbar was electric rather than manual like the '10. I think there was one or two other things they did to cut costs, too - can't remember right now. It obviously didn't bother me when I heard...One was the elimination of the articulating headlights - and I wasn't planning on ordering the tech package of which they were a part.
For those who wanted just the lowest price 6MT with no premium package, the 2010 changes are bad news. ...but I wonder if anyone ever stocked a 6MT with no premium or if anyone ever customer ordered the lowest price 6MT.

^ That makes more sense.
I agree, there's probably not that many non-premiums out there.

I looked a little closer:
2010 base 6MT is ~ $300 higher than '09 with premium pkg
Add navigation and it's pretty much a wash (Nav is about $300 less in '10).
I remembered that the 6 disc changer for non-Nav is gone for '10 - replaced by "music box". I don't mind that too much, although I'd prefer more memory. Solid state memory bodes better for long term reliability than a CD changer mechanism.

"UPDATE: Just got word from Infiniti that the reason for the significant price increase on the 6MT model is the substantial amount of additional kit, including Bose stereo, power moonroof, iPod interface, heated front seats, power tilt/telescopic steering wheel, anti-glare mirror with Homelink and Bluetooth -- all standard."
Is all that worth 2k?

I think it's good they're making this stuff standard
nothing pisses me off more than the "MSRP" being so low to grab your attention and when you get to the dealer it's $3-5,000 higher because nobody stocks "base" models...
Just a cheap ploy to bait and switch.
"why don' tyou stock base models"
"haha! nobody wants base, everyone wants premium and fully loaded!"
"well, I want a base model.."
"buy a nissan if you can't afford an infiniti"
assh0les
I tried buying a "base" camaro and wouldn't you know it the dealers only had SS or 2SS or LS models that were 30-50% more money
