The doc fee is dependent upon dealer. Just ask them, they will tell you. Usually, they will have a set doc fee for every car they sell. I have seen anything from $250-$500.

Wow, wow, you try to buy a rear wheel drive car in NY in the winter while 99% of the G is AWD in the north east? Did you check the carfax...was it a rental?

I will try not to pay the dealer fee unless you have to buy the car that day. However, I think the dealer is dying to sell the RWD car in this weather.

I'm in PA and doc fee is around 100. I know people in NJ who paid 200-300 doc fee there.

 

The carfax is not available online. I intent to view it when I get to the dealership or possibly call them in advance to email the car fax. What makes you think the rear wheel drive makes it a rental?

you could always say no to the CPO fee, then the car is not a CPO car and you could re neg the price because u are buying a used car, not a cpo car. i would pay like a few grand less, maybe more, for a non cpo car.

Yes, the carfax will say fleet vehicle. I know Hertz uses the M35...not aware of any companies that use the G.

 

He would be paying the fee so Infiniti will honor the CPO warranty. Just because the CPO inspection has been completed by the dealer, doesnt mean it is a certified car. This just means it meets all the parameters to become Certified.

It is all subjective to what you want. The takeaway is that in this situation RWD being uncommon in the Northeast is an advantage to you because the car is ultimately worth less. This should give you bargaining power as stated in a previous post.

If you plan on driving in the snow, just get a good set of winter tires. A RWD with winter tires is much more capable than an AWD with summer tires.
