What is the difference between an 08 G35 Sedan and an 09 G37 Sedan? Perfomance, cosmetic, everything.

What would be a justifiable price difference if the two were comparably equipped, with mileage and all?

Thanks in advance. Sorry if this is a repeat topic.

*EDIT: Please see Post #6.

Thanks

It's a repeat but here you go, off the top of my head:

These are the additions for G37:
New engine - 328Hp vs 306
New seat heater *****
Akebono BBK in the Sport
New 7AT transmission
ScratchShield Paint
New wheel design for the sport (they're hideous)
I think they may have used a little bit higher quality interior materials/added more sound deading

In all honesty it's not a huge difference. I don't think the extra HP really does that much and there's nothing that's all that discernible. I got a G35 in the middle of '08 and didn't really regret the new G37. It's more expensive and doesn't add all that much. The only thing I feel like I missed out on is the Akebono BBK - which most people probably won't ever notice.

The difference in HP is not really noticeable as the torque is about the same.

Aluminum sunroof wind deflector and new mirror profile both keep wind noise down compared to 08s. We had an 07 and now an 09 and the 09 is definately quieter regarding road & wind noise.

^Is the wind deflector a different shape?
Do you have any pics?

...this could be an easy retrofit if it works.

What is a reasonable price for a CPO 2009 G37x with 21,000 miles? The dealer is looking for $27,500 + registration fees and etc ($500 more or less).

I can't really comment on that specifically, but if it helpes my friend is looking in Houston.

Found an '09 G37S Sedan - Black, 3,000 miles - nav, premium, sport, (i think active steer), front and rear spoiler for $32,xxx

Check KBB if you haven't already.

How accurate would KBB be in respect to the dealer price, because there is almost a $5,000 discrepancy... (I valued the car under "Certified Pre-owned"

interested to know this as well, it would be nice to have it quieter when the roof is open.

In all honesty the dealer price should get close to the KBB. KBB is supposed to be the end all-tell all price for a car. If the dealer is asking$5,000 ABOVE the KBB price make sure they know that, and if they don't budge tell em to screw off and move on.

We got an aftermarket sunroof deflector for our 07 (since the noise seemed obtrusive), I don't feeel the need for an aftermarket one for our 09. So I would say the difference is definately noticeable. And it looks nicer

appreciate the pics, thanks!
That definitely looks better, now to see if it sounds quieter. Probably need to test drive the 09/10 model to hear it. But if the price is right, I'll just wing it and put it on.
