Question? rear seat release switch

today I ran into a little issue. I bought a 6ft rod that im going to use for my diy back drop stand for photography, so I go to put it in the trunk and I couldn't for the life of me find the rear seat release switch to make the seats fold down. I ended up just putting it through the small entrance where the arm rest is located. So can anyone help me out here?

p.s in my 03 coupe it was at left corner of the trunk in visible site.

The current line of thinking is structural ridgidity, w/ solid rear seats the car is more structurally sound. At least that's what I've been told I miss the fold downs too, but if it makes the car more bad-a$$ then I can live w/ the peephole
