Alarm Triggered For No Apparent Reason?

Alright guys, so I live in an apartment complex and park my car right outside of my first-floor bedroom window. This morning at 7:00 AM I'm lying in bed partially awake when I hear my car alarm go off (stock alarm system, horn honking). I look out my window at my car within 5 seconds (bed right by window) and there is NOTHING around my car. No car parked on either side, no car near it, no person near it, no animal near it, nothing. My keys were sitting on my desk, exactly where I left them the night before and I have no pets that could have stepped on them or something like that. I've done a visual inspection of my car and there is no damage anywhere, none of the door handles, windows, or sides of the vehicle.

So my question to you guys is, why the hell did my alarm go off?

Two possibilities:

1) Tremor?
2) Maybe you didn't actually look at it 5 secons after it went off. Perception of time and sound is kind of screwy when you're only partially awake.

Beats me
...are you sure it was 5 secs?
Maybe it was going off for longer & you didn't wake up right away.

Where was your keyfob? Was it possible you or somebody hit the panic alarm accidently? I agree with others. It is relatively hard to measure time half asleep.

Okay, so I was actually fully awake because my clock alarm went off early accidentally and I couldn't fall back asleep, so I know that it literally was like 5 seconds, no tremors because I'm in NC and that seems unlikely. The key fob was sitting on my desk, next to my bed, door locked, only me in the room, I'm really baffled here guys, any other possibilities?

I will say that my key fob's battery is low, the car's been flashing that up on the screen for a few days now, could that have anything to do with it?
