Fog lights

did a quick search and didn't see anything.

So...is it possible to install the fog light housing from the '10 G37 onto an '07 G35?

Haven't looked into it really, just a random thought that "hey, I'd like to have actual fog lights".

There are a couple of threads... search "bumper foglights" - something like that and you will find pics of install....some round, some oval.

It can be done easily. If you go HID - up to $1k. If you go halogen and do it yourself...probalby around 400.00.

It's on my list of projects to do this summer.

Cool. Thanks for the info.

Surprised it would cost so much though...

Anything is possible, to retrofit the '10 fog lights into an '07, you'll need the entire front bumper, the fog lamp assembly, the headlamps and possibly front fenders and hood.

I haven't examined it up-close, but based on the photos posted to date, the changes to the front-end of a '10 is rather significant.

ParkStr8's comments above may apply more for a custom-install approach like other members have done.

Hey... would/could the extra/different light caused by these fog lights interfere with the cruise control?

Yeah, I was starting to think that the mesh part under the headlights (where the foglights are now and nothing was before) are too different in size to be just a straight swap.

Members on G37.com have stated that you would need:

headlights
bumper
paint
foglights
foglight housing

They've said that the fenders won't need changing, but the cost is still rather extravagant for such a small mod. Waste of $$ IMO.

I'd love to have fog-lights low on the bumper also; maybe someone will make an aftermarket housing for the 07-09?

How about just saying... the fog light housing on the '10 bumpers is of a different size and shape than the spot on the '07 bumper?

You can certainly retrofit one of those generic kits. It'll take some work, but is doable.

I was looking at doing the same thing with my sport bumper, but i'm still not sure where to actually mount the brackets.
