Hi all, I just bought an 07 g35x with 47k. My question is I only got 14mpg on my first tank wnet onlt 255 miles. I had an 06 rwd that I got 17 mpg consistently doing the same commute. I only commute about 16 miles roundtrip a day.I aslo noticed on the trip screen that when the car is off but the acc is on the avg mph number decreases slowly. Is this normal? Shouldn't the mph avg be saved when ignition is turned off? Thanks

 

Congrats on the purchase and welcome!
If mpg is your concern, I suggest you trade back the car and get a 4 cyl. This G will not be your friend in terms of gas consumption. Aside from that, your first tank is a bad example, especially since the car's new and I'm sure you gave it a few times to feel the ponies. Run a few more tanks to get a more accurate mpg.

Also, I may be wrong here, but your mpg should not decrease when in ACC, you may have pressed the button one too many times and put the car into the ON position (without the car running). The comp would assume you're idling and your mpg would decrease.
