Shifting while drifting is not a good idea unless you have a big enough space because the car will suddenly pick up speed (particularly at redline) and angle. Just a tip for future show offs. Keep it in the same gear (1st or 2nd) and just keep tapping the throttle while you're drifting. Oh and next time go to an open drift event.

op here
thanks to rpm& because its all so true.

and to others about VDC... it's kind of like 'all bets are off' 'I can handle it'
apparently not. I need to learn to... and to Q8y- good advice on the drifting

I would love to learn to drift on a closed course.

And to others- no dont have pics *sorry* Im doing all I can to forget the damage, pics only preserve the memory I want to rid.
yes I talked to 5 0 about hit&run - but its all resolved. Im not one to avoid responsibility.
Its why I was able to get a G in the first place.

... and i picked it up tonight... they did a great job.

I have more comments- but this is just a quick note. I gotta go eat

I agree with Terry... another VDC Off story for the books.
VDC off + OEM **** Goodyear RSA's = Disaster!

I don't even have to have VDC off anymore. I give a little too much gas into a corner and I can flip the back end out every time. It's something I've gotten used to now though.

V... I'm right on the CT/MA line. I'm sure we'll meet this coming summer... it you don't crack that thing up by then!
Careful out there... don't shoot your eye out!

but yes- Rectified, clarified swapped info.
Though it took 3 days to find driver with help from po po (warning ticketed me btw)

$2700 damage to our G, and a repaint of the whole right side.
But now I'm getting new tires. Pilot Plus A/Ss

btw nobody was hurt. just my ego.
I've had to beg my wife to let me drive again, and its not even out of shop yet.
Better than begging your wife to take her behind the wheel. At least no one got hurt. You made a bad decision. You should just find a used G and leave hers alone. You'll never hear the end of it. She'll always remind you of that night.

Aeson I'm down on the shore where the salty wind blows.

I'm about to buy Michelin Pilot sport A/S plus's

I'd like the winter/summer mix with a 2nd set of rims, but my wifes the daily driver so it wont make a hill o beans difference to her.

lol Ryu... If I had enough cash to throw around I would just have the G as a third car.

But shes pretty good about this sort of thing. It evens out.

I should add.. Ive narrowed it down:
Michelin Pilot sport A/S plus <> Pirelli Pzero Nero M+S?

OEM 225/55/zr17

Haven't checked the whole board...any suggestions or do I go to a different thread?
