So i got rear ended yesterday...

Traffic in front of me suddenly stopped. i stopped. car behind me stopped. Car behind it went into the car behind me and then into me. Another car went into that car, into the car behind me and into me again. Still dealing with the cop station. long story short, the first car that crashed is trying to blame the 2nd car that crashed so it wouldn't be considered their fault. And i'm stuck in the middle and have to skip college for two days to attend another cop station to see a specialist who will determine who's at fault :sigh:

Damage pics. Can't see much of the damage on the bumper but it's pretty dented. The diffuser is what will hurt the most though since it's not covered under insurance. It took a pretty good hit though.

This is actually the 5th time i got rear ended and the only time the bumper was actually damaged. 4 previous times i just left without a scratch.

Sorry to see that man. I got rear-ended in my G20 a long time ago and it was frustrating.

Oh crap.
Sorry to hear about this; especially at the loss of the diffuser.

Damn dude, sorry to hear that.

You can consider yourself lucky since you've been rear ended 4 previous times and got away without a scratch so maybe it's just fate lol j/k

Hope you can get sorted out soon, I've actually got another scratch on my rear bumper from reversing onto my cousin's drive way so I know your pain. Best of luck in the police station

Damn dude, sorry to see that. Especially right after you put on the new diffuser.

Either way, thank god you're alright cause the bumper and diffuser are easily replaceable.

I feel like crying looking at the diffuser, hopefully they will cover it, i had a similar incident on my last car and the insurance decided not to pay for the aftermarket parts but my shop got them to cover it somehow....

Damn, i always live in fear of a situation like that, i feel really sorry for you becuase you just got your diffuser, and it took all the damage, i hope of it can get repaired at Guyvars, but the bad news is that insurance companies here in Kuwait don't give a **** about it, even if you got Top Secret wide body kit with the cost of $10000 on your car, sigh.

Edit: look at the bright side, your exhaust didn't get damaged, that's the worst can happen, bumper can be changed, diffuser can be repaired, but not the exhaust.

Thanks guys.

Borna, Alla ysalmek.

G35s-Q8, you think I can get the cop station to force the guy to pay me back for repair or replacement of the diffuser? I mean if he was at fault why should I pay out of my pocket?

I wanted to comment on this earlier this morning when I first saw this but I hate typing long messages into my iPhone and now almost everything has already been said.

I've discussed aftermarket parts with my insurance company and just like it was mentioned earlier, if you have receipts, it's covered. This can get a little tricky if you are at fault in the accident but in your case, this is something that will definitely be covered.
I also wanted to mention, if you are in an accident and don't see any damage, have the car looked at and repaired anyway. Most cars have energy absorbing foam under the bumper skin so when you get tapped, it may not show damage but that foam should be looked at and replaced if necessary, as it will lose it's energy absorbing abilities.
A lot of minor taps cause more damage than people realize. Always have it looked at.

Usually I get rear ended by really crappy cars with no brakes. Most of which are driven by people who are poor and probably don't even have insurance. It's just too much of a hassle to go through the legal process so I just let them go. But even then I should probably have the absorbing foam checked in such situations. Good info AesonVirus!

This is probably one of those moments where I wish i was in the US. There's no law here for insuring aftermarket parts (that I know of) so insurance companies can get away with anything they want in such cases
