Finally tinted...
So in Illinois, it is finally legal to do 35% all around (except for the windshield, which can only be tinted in the upper 6").
The attached pic shows how it came out. I went with Riggs Brothers in Naperville and they did a wonderful job. The rear window is a single piece, they were able to tint the glass behind the 3rd brake light, and there are no bubbles or creases. I'm very pleased.

Looks good! Had 15% on my old car...loved how it looked although it was not legal and a little hairy at night in a dark parking lot. Legal limit here in Kansas is also 15% on back three but only 35% on front two.
im in NYC/LI and i have done 35% all around and never have been bothered for my tints. I have passed by cops, talked to them in person about what they think about tints and most of them say they dont care much if its 35%, but if its darker then they will get you
Looks good. I have 35 as well although sometimes I regret not going 1 shade darker, but so far I haven't been bothered yet(knock wood) so I'm not complaining.

Thanks
i thought kansas was 35% all around :[
when i got mine done, i got 35% in the front 20% in the back because missouri is
35% front any% back.. and i live close to state lines.. i figured/hoped cops might not bug me too much :P
I dropped the car off at 8:30 a.m. and it was ready at 3:00 p.m. The interior was immaculate when I got the car back. The tint job is perfect...I have not seen a single bubble, crease, or piece of trapped lint. Extremely good job.
FYI, I had read very mixed reviews of other Aurora/Naperville tint shops, especially Z-Tech on Ogden.
Hope that helps.
I did quite a bit of research about reputable tint shops before getting the work done at Riggs Brothers. It cost $330 to do the back window and 4 doors with 35% Madico Charcool. The 6" strip along the top of the windshield would have been an extra $65.
