Hello all,

I'm sorry i don't contribute much to the forum anymore. But ever since i moved out of my parents time is limited between two jobs and school. =( (i feel like i only come in when i need help/advice)

Well my awd is now at 48,500. Some of the issues i'm having are pretty normal and i've experienced them in my other vehicles but some are kind of getting annoying lately.

First: When i go over bumps big or small i hear rattles coming from my suspension. I've been on eibachs for about 40,000 on stock suspension do you guys think it's time to replace those struts ?

Second: I hear some clunking coming from my steering column when going back and forth. but for the last couple of days i hear a "POP" when turning my wheel left. Rod end possibly ?

Third: When someone is sitting on my passenger seat the seat also "POPS" at turns or when accelerating from a stop. Almost sounds like metal to metal pop. Possibly bad seat rails ?

Fourth: I'm having some major issues with my shifter. If i drive the car on DS and decide to use the SHIFTER to use the manual mode the car goes back into D. Even if i toggle between D & DS. Only when i use the shifter. If i use the paddles it works fine. Whenever i forget and make the mistake of using shifter the car stays on D until it sits turned off for at least 6-8 hours.

Any ideas ? Any thoughts ? sorry for the long post guys. =/

+1 dealer. Your car should still be under power train warranty.

 

Yeah dealer time. I mean they won't touch the suspention issue but the rest should be under warranty.

Infiniti has some issue with seat rocking. All they do is replacing the rail assy. It is expensive. So ake sure you get it done before the warranty is over. If that is the problem.

Tough life. 2 jobs and school. At the end it is still worth. Just keep your heads up and you should be fine bro.

 

1. most likely the linkages making the rattle. (from stabilizer to shock). cheap parts, not hard to DIY.

2. could be your spring not settled in right, had that issue with an older car of mine. it wasn't major for me, as the spring just kept reseatting itslef, but you may want to check it out, not sure on the G. I have an X on eibachs and have never heard a pop.

3. if you're sure it's the seat, then yeah it's may be the rails or power seat motor problems...thats under warranty.

4. Possible reflash required. never heard of that yet...also warranty issue.
