I started the car up today and the info screen in the middle of the gauge cluster said 'MAINTENANCE' and below said 'OTHER' with a silouette of a person's head. I got the car with 29600 miles on it and right now I'm at 31500. Any idea what this might be for? Oil change shouldn't be till 33000. Which, BTW, should I change the oil every 3k or 5k miles? Thanks in advance.

 

It's just a random reminder, you can reset it by going through the computer, doesn't really serve a specific purpose.

I change mine every 3750 like the maintenance book says and use Mobil 1. I bought the car brand new and have 40000 miles and still runs like the day I bought it.

 

^+1 best to go with recommended interval and save your receipts(if not using dealer) to avoid any hassles on any warranty work needed later on.
