Scrolling through Music

this might take me long to explain, I'll try and keep it short.

I have a dodge 09 Grand Caravan with a 30GB HD in it, when I have music playing from the HD, I can scroll around my playlist for the next song while the current song is still playing.

Now in my 07 G35x with the NAV package and CF card slot, when I'm playing music through the CF slot and try to scroll songs it changes songs as soon as I start to scroll.

Is there any way to listen to your current song while scrolling through you music without it changing the song to the one you scroll to?

In other words a song is playing and as soon as you scroll to look for a new song it changes.

Thanks

I think that's just the way it works. Kinda sucks, but what can you do.

too bad there is no software fix for that....because this really is awful.

Its so nice when you can scroll through your songs and ready the next one without it changing. Especially when kids are always asking "Daddy can you put on......"

I agree with you b. It's one of the few disappointments I have with the audio system.

Also, I can't figure out how to go back to the screen that shows all the folders (when playing from the CF) once you've selected one, and switch from say nav mode and back.

if i understand this correctly you are inside one folder and are trying to see the main folders so all you have to do is to press the small "back" button

I've tried that kool and it doesn't go 'back' to the folder list.

VQ that's weird, when I hit the back button it works for me. Just brings me back to the screen I was in before.
I have two CF cards and one shows a Root folder all my folders are in that, the other CF card doesn't have that Root folder any one care to explain that?
Both have been formatted the same.

If you are viewing the folders, make a selction and then move back to a status or map screen, you can get back to the folders by selecting the Aux button again, which brings you back to the Compact Flash screen you had originally left.

I had a 2010 FX as a loner and I did notice that the startup screen was different than mine, and the colours were brighter. As far as the music not sure because there was no HD in it or a CF slot, just the CD and radio.

I am going to call the dealership and see if there is a software upgrade or something that might fix this scrolling issue with the music. It's awfull the way this thing works.

^ there is no update to fix that as its is not an issue for infiniti its just a bad programming design, as for the '10 fx it has a higher resolution screen thus better brighter colours.
