@48k new brakes and alignment should be done by the owner, its wear and tear item and alignments should be done yearly to help prolong the life of your tires and suspension parts.

i just got mine back from the brake jutter issue. i have 18k on my 07 and they told me that the ISB (infiniti service bulletin) is out on the rotors only. I brought the print out with me and it did just mention rotors. They told me that if the "normal wear and tear" had caused the issue, ie bad brake pads, then I would be responsible for that. If it turned out to be the ISB and the rotors, then it would be covered. It was the rotors and I got out with no cost. I would agree with other posters saying take it to another dealer. Have a second opinion and see if the brake pads are worn down

So i got my car back from the dealer, they serviced the rotor for free (under TSB) but I have to paid for the pads, which I don't mind since it's really a wear and tear issue. They also performed alignment and everything is fine, now my car have no more brake jutter and that annoying screeching noise. Thank you guys for the comments, it's helps with a TSB print out in hand

I had the same problem. Brakes are only covered for first 2 years. I went in last April (before my two years) and complained about the brake judder. They replaced pads and rotors for free. There was no TSB at that time. The fix was to replace rotors and pads since rotors were so warped they couldn't be turned down.

I was told by my service adviser that the new brakes are covered for one year from the time they were installed. So this year I noticed brakes were not smooth. Not as bad as last year, but still rough when coming down to a stop off the highway mostly.

They said there was a TSB now. They put on new backing plate, new pads, and new rotors again. No charge. They did charge me for rear pads since they were gone and not covered under warranty. Wear issue.

Maybe that will clear up some of the confusion. I am thinking if I hadn't had the pads changed last year and just waited until this year, I would have had to pay for the pads at least.

Just a quick "Thank You" for sharing this. Don't have the problem atm, but I got 28,000 miles left on the warrenty so it might come in handy later on.

If the dealership does not honor the TSB while the car is under warranty, get the corporate involved (it helped me).

just got back from the dealer. they resurfaced all rotors under warranty. i threw them a bone and got them to 'balance my tires" for $60 - i figured that was reasonable to give them some business for resurfacing the rotors.

glad that i had a good first experience with infiniti service.

thanks to g35driver. great info
