This weekend I traded my 2005 6MT for a 2008 6MT. The 2005 was a good car, but I had bought it used, had minor issues with it, found it had oil consumption problems and depite keeping it topped off while I owned it, the engine ended up spinning a rod bearing and the dealership ended up replacing the engine under warranty. My car was in the shop for a couple of weeks (long story) and during that time I had a 2007 loaner which I was pretty impressed with. The dealer had a 2007 6MT that sold before I could look at it and they promised to keep an eye out for me.

In any case, a month later the dealer called me about a nice clean 2008 6MT with nav they had for sale, made me a reasonable offer for my 2005 and I traded up. The car was built 7/08 and put into service in December 2008 as a factory car, so I'm guessing it's one of the last G35's ever made. I'm wondering what build dates are on other late 2008 G35s and when the 2009 G37s started production?
