sport/non sport bumper cover same fit?

i have a large scratch on the bumper of my 08' journey g35 and have always liked the sports bumper a lot more. i've gotten quotes from the dealership and an independent paint and body shop in the 500-600 dollar range. i figure for that price i wouldn't mind paying a little more for the sports bumper but i'm not sure if i can buy the bumper cover alone or if i need any additional parts to make it fit. does anyone know if the two covers are interchangeable?

i have seen a few ppl here who have done that, apparently as long as you dont have the ICC cruise i think you will be okay, but wait for the ppl who have already done this to pitch in for sure.

Yup I've installed the sport bumper,

I personally didn't need anything extra, and I don't have the ICC cruise. So it was a simple swap for me but I had the stealers do it.

I've taken the bumper of many times since installation and there doesn't seem to be any difference in mounting points compared to the journey bumper.

and yes you should be able to buy it separately, thats what I did

Yup... the ICC sensor is in a different place. As long as you dont have the Tech pack.. it's an easy change to make.

I requested a change of bumper style while in for repair (took out a coyote on the highway)
The Sport bumper matches perfectly, unless the ICC sensor is on the car. The sensor mounts differently and in a different location. The dealer said I could pull it off if I bought the Sport ICC sensor, for about $1500- more.
Needless to say, I'm back to the Journey/X bumper.
