ok well i used my sunroof alot, and now am concerned. after a loud, deep grinding noise, the sunroof closes... but not completely. the glass is a few centimeters higher than the roof and im afraid water will leak when it rains. i really dont want to go to the dealership, especially if its an easy fix. any help would be greatly appreciated!

 

if it's under warranty....go to the dealer.

Mine came off track the other day. With an oil change, i was in and out in a couple hours.

 

I had to have my sunroof motor assembly replaced (under warranty) for something similar.

 

anyone hae instructions on how to do this. It happened to mine tooo but im long out of warranty.

It probably jumped the rail. Or something went loose up there then as it was closing, jump that and now it's off the rail. Check the air deflector part that's on the front of the sunroof and runs across. It goes up when you open the roof.
