Question Graphite VS Stone

Hey Guys,

I'm new here, i'm about to purchase a 2007 G sedan.

Question that i'm having is that I can purchase one with a graphite interior, or a stone. Graphite would have wood package.

I know it comes down to personal preference, but i'm honestly kinda split on the decision, I've done a little searching on the forums, and seen some cool stuff done with both, but I was wondering if anyone could post some awesome pictures of mods or just generally clean interiors in those colors please.

Both cars are lakeshore slate, btw.

Looking forward to being one of the family,

Max

I personally love darker interiors, hence I went with graphite...I have the aluminum though. I saw one car with the graphite interior and wood package, didnt really do it for me. I will say that after having the car for a little over a year, the graphite seems to hide stains/marks much better.

I've had stone and graphite (currently 2 with graphite).
The Stone seats showed wear fairly quickly.
I have always preferred dark interiors too!!
I vote graphite.

^^ What he says.

Stone shows wear earlier. Also have to be careful with Jeans and other what leave marks. I think stone and wood trim look good together. Black looks better with washi finish. This is personal preference so go for whichever you like better.

Before I bought mine, I had my heart set on graphite. Found one that happened to be stone and I havent looked back since. I love it. I clean and condition once a month so I do not notice it getting dirty. I will try and post up some pics for you later.

Graphite FTW from my side for sure! the dark interior adds to a bit to the luxury sport look imo.

Stone & Graphite are both nice.

I think most would agree that "wheat" is the worst color. The beige steering wheel/dash is just awful.

Yes I'm so sick of the wheat interior, but don't know what my options are...

I have the Lakeshore and Stone combo that you are considering and I absolutly love that combination. I also prefer the Washi trim as opposed to the wood, but again, a personal preference. I don't have any pictures at my work computer to share, but I love it.

You asked for pics which none of us are providing, sorry But, will add that I've had wheat, stone and graphite interiors in my last three cars.

Between stone and graphite, on your color car, I do like the graphite a bit better; darker inside feels a bit more sophisticated, and the black does hide dirt well.

Almost everything can be cleaned from stone interiors, so that's not a big deal; however, over time my jeans apparently created a blue hue on the lumbar support on the driver's seat That could be an abberation - or maybe a Lucky Brand jeans thing.

Graphite and aluminum for me and wood doesn't work for me either.

Had Stone in our 07 and now have Graphite in our 09. I prefer the graphite for reasons previously mentioned. I really like the wood trim in the new 2010 Gs, it looks upscale & classy, The wood trim in the 07s looks like an aftermarket company supplied the trim and did their best to make it look right. Just always looks out of place IMO, not a very upscale look compared to a Lexus type wood trim (which is much closer w/ the 2010 wood trim).

I don't think you can go wrong with either one, both the graphite and stone look great. Personally, I love my stone interior! Let me ***** it out for you.

i think the stone looks a little cleaner and classier. the graphite black didn't seem to mesh well with the black plastic trim and black upholstery (like they are slightly different shades), whereas the stone accentuates the black trim, and washi aluminum (without trying to match it). you might see more creases in the stone leather over time, but i think the black shows worse dust, and tends to look too shiny when cleaned.

but really, i'm nitpicking here. it's ultimately a personal choice and you won't go wrong.
