Copying the Music Box to a flash drive

I have about 5 gigs on the music box hard drive. Before I sell the car, is it possible to copy the contents to a flash card?

thanks,
sharkman

yep... not possible.. you can however do a mass delete of the HD. or use the 5GB of music as a selling point to make it easier to sell haha

IIRC, the dealership can offload it from the drive for you.

I think that just transfers the title names and just those that are missing and then you can correct the names on your comp and upload the correct names, i dont think it transfers the songs themselves to be renamed, i tried this 2-3yrs back but not sure how it worked out.

I think that only transfers the titles, not the actual music file.

can you copy songs from you CF to the music box? Or only from CD to music box?

What if your CD was an MP3 cd can you copy those to the music box?

^ you can only copy from cd to music box. and it needs to be regular audio cd NOT a MP3 cd.

You can if you want to pull out your head unit, take out the hard drive and mirror it.

I've seen the pics of your interior all torn apart.
I give you credit for having the ***** of steel to do it, but I'll pass.

I'm always afraid of gaps and squeeks after messing around in there.
I've wanted to get in there for other purposes, but keep putting it off for that reason.
Maybe I'm getting old... I'd even be hesitant to do my paddles again.

With that being said, you're getting rid of it, so have at it!

If it's anything like the nissan GTR, you gotta get the unlock code the car sends to the hard drive when you turn it on then you can mirror it or add a bigger hard drive. The system in the GTR is running a custom windows CE OS so there is a strong possibility of adding programs to it and even lifting that ridiculous encoding bitrate. And also copy the songs directly from CF to the HD and hell, even update the nav maps. The thread over at http://www.nagtroc.org/forums/index....pic=23304&st=0 has alot more info on this. There hasn't been anything new for a month though. We need people to work on this but unfortunately not that many want to mess with it.
