How high does your trunk lid pop open?

Sorry if this has been asked here before. I searched and didn't find anything.

When you pop your trunk with the remote, how high does it go? Mine goes up just enough to get my hand under the bottom lip to pull it open. Should it go up higher or all the way maybe to be really useful? Is there a tension adjustment on the shocks that lift the trunk?

thats the way its supposed to be thanks to those shocks... and i dont see anything you can do to resolve that unless you take those shocks off.

I believe that the button is only to unlock the trunk, not to actually open it.

My trunk pops open just enough to get my fingers under to lift and open as well.

Yeah, the short open can be looked at 2 ways.

1. Kinda stinks if you are carrying a lot of bags, etc. since you have to do the extra step of getting your hand under there and lifting.

However:

2. I hit the dang trunk pop on my key fob by accident periodically. I'm glad the thing doesn't fly open when that happens. I can barely tell it's open when that happens, which is good just in case I'm parked somewhere and didn't mean to unlock it.
Also, if there are papers, etc. they don't go flying everywhere.

Either way - wouldn't be upset if it stays like it is or if they make it pop all the way on a newer model year.

So not a big deal the way it is but it is good to know everyone has the same thing happen with the trunk pop.
