19" vs 20"

hey i'm buyin rims next week and i was just wondering if everybody used 20inch rims or what people where using?

i am not going to be able to lower the suspension for a couple months so i'm worried that 19" rims might look ridiculous?

lemme kno what you guys think and what you are using and feel free to post pictures of your setups!

thanks!

I went 20s on mine, dont think im going to lower it either...at least now. I cant tell much of a difference in ride quality although its already somewhat stiff since mine's an S. I just posted pics in the media share above, I like the 20s as long as they arent too flashy.

Um, the overall height of the tires will be the same. Since you are running "thinner" tires on 20's...

Example:

on 20's ur running 30-35 series tires.

On 19's, you're running 40's...

---

Only difference price really. 19" tires are expensive.

Tire prices are different, but the biggest thing will be the weight difference. Your car will feel a bit slower on take off due to the rotational mass. If they are heavier than your OEM wheels, then you will wear your breaks and stock shocks out faster.

I am not telling you to not do the 20s, but they are just thoughts to consider.

I have 19s but I love the 20" tire prices!

good luck and post up some pics of rims you are looking at. Someone can photoshop them on your car so you could see the difference!

20's for the win! Look nice and the ride quality is not much different from the 19", i had GT1 19" for 2 months and switched to 20" and no change in harshness was detected by me and i gained a better looking wheel with deeper lip.

Well it depends. 20" wheels are more in demand and that's why they are cheaper then 19"s.
Anyway 19" wheels are not demanded as much as 18"s or 20"S that's why everything most of the time expensive with 19".
Yes I agree it is weird but that's just how it works.

You also got to look at where you live. If your roads are not as crappy as where I live then why not go with 20s, but if there are bumps and pot holes everywhere and construction going on all the time then I would definitely go with 19s. I love 20s more then 19s but I wouldn't want to damage the wheels with S%$# roads around places.

I went from stock to 20's with a drop and the ride is much noticeably harsher at least in my case, but I've learned to live with it.

Looks nice, what tires are you running? I actually prefer the way the car rides on my 20s compared to the 17s. Nice dog too, we've got a 1yr old Rott, great dogs.
