Hello all.

Monday I pick up my 2007 G35x. I work for an automotive group here in Colorado so I got it for $21,000 with 30k miles fully loaded.

Any issues I need to be aware of? I just got rid of my wife's 02 G20 which lasted forever so I wanted to stick with an Infiniti.

What is the latest navigation version?

Grats on the car! I have the same model! It is a rocket, I tell ya!
Although I'm having vibration problems, that doesn't mean it'll happen to you. The shimmy/vibrations are probably my fault anyhow.

Beware of the OEM rotors...they warp pretty easily, causing pulsations in the brake pedal and also vibrations in the steering wheel. I would swap them out for aftermarket rotors.

I just replaced all 4 rotors and pads recently because of this, and now braking is perfectly smooth.

Also, there a couple of TSB's or Tech Service Bulletins you might want to check out. If you experience any of them, I would print it out and bring it to the attention of the stealership for warranty work if applicable (before your basic warranty runs out).

I am going to get some of the TSB's done myself next week on my car as well as fix a vibration issue.

Other than that, the car is fabulous. Just be sure to maintain it, change fluids when necessary, etc..

Enjoy!

Thanks. Look forward to driving it. It will mostly be my wife's commuter but I will drive it quite often.

Interesting about the brakes. I had similar problems on other vehicles in Arizona solely because it is too damn hot. Colorado should be great.

Anyone know how well she gets around in snow?

I've only had my car for 1 winter.... and so far it has performed flawlessly. Even though i had those crappy Eagle RSA's on, the car still kept strong and plowed through most storms here in the Northeast. It should perform better next winter as now I have Michelins Pilot Sport A/S Plus's. and so far these tires friggin rock! .. a LOT smoother and LOT less road noise i'll tell you that!

only time ive driven my 07 g35x in the snow it performed fairly poorly. I attribute the majority of the issues to the **** eagle stock tires they come with though.

The cars fairly quick, its not very sporty though. One thing ive learned about this car (old car was an 04g35 coupe) is that it steers like a PIG. Besides that, my only other complaint is the vdc and how the awd system kicks in.... its so intrusive and extremely annoying (and im not trying to swing the *** out or anything, sometimes ill just be making a right turn slightly up hill on an extremely busy street, and next thing i know I have zero power until the car can figure out what to do which takes far longer than id like). Finally, I have VERY little power below 2.2k rpms in first gear which ive grown to hate.

My car is absolutely phenominal in the snow, but I'm also running Blizzak WS-50s during the winter.
Anyone running the stock RSA's is brave to say the least. They suck on dry ground.... how can they be any good in the white stuff?

Congrats on the new ride. You'll love it.

The G is a tank in the snow. When NYC got rocked with 11in of snow this past winter, I put the snow mode on, and it was smooth sailings.
