picked up an '07 g35x

Guys, just picked up an '07 G35x. Very basic, no nav, bluetooth, etc, etc. I'm assuming adding any of those would be costly. Car was a leased vehicle. Seems to be pretty clean, few scratches here and there. Car had 29,500 miles when I picked it up. Other than changing the oil and filter, what other basics do you recommend? What are the weak points that I need to watch out for, if any? Really like the car, power is nice and handles great. Thanks!

Congratulations and welcome to the forum. This link should help answer a lot of your initial questions.

...and yes, adding factory Nav or BT would be very costly.

Basically black on black. Can't remember the color names off the top of my head and I can't find the darned link on here that I saw before that shows the colors. It's got just under 30k on the odometer. Pretty clean other than some scratches here and there. Picked up some stuff last night to start working those out. When we bought the car, the wife and I were looking at IS 250's, BMW 328, and the G35. The Lexus was discounted due to power. Took the G35 out before driving the BMW and really didn't have a need to drive the BMW. We were sold when we first drove it. Tight steering, nice power (I have an '87 Buick Grand National, so I like power), great looks, and good street manners. Very comfortable. We did take the BMW out for the hell of it, but really didn't need to. I have a feeling I'll have this one for a while.

Welcome to the fam and congrats on the new wheels.
My story is very similar. Started with the Lexus IS but wanted AWD and the IS250 was a joke in terms of power. I was also unhappy with the size of the rear seat. (I have kids)
I moved on to the Acura TL but couldn't fall in love with it no matter how hard I tried. (We also have an MDX that we like)
Moved on to BMW but the $ games for individual options pushed the 335 to a price I couldn't justify. Once I test drove the G, there was no looking back.

I am a newbie too, I just bought an 07x as well. its been 2 weeks and i'm still amazed how nice the interior/tech is and how it drives. i came from an 06 mustang gt...while i miss its looks, engine and how it handled, the difference in refinement between the 2 is insane.

- happy g35 drivers have great forums too! cant wait to mod my grille this weekend thanks to this site.

Definitely looks like we have similar tastes! I've watched the TL's for years, wanted to look at them this time, but no awd. Sounds like it may have been a good thing. Agreed...

Ok, will work on the pics! Out of town till Sun, but will work on it!
