Its simple, on a hot day let your car sit outside for about 45, spray alittle SG degreaser on the letters, take the floss and work your way between the letters and trunk slowly. I personally dont like goo-gone because it can make paint dull but whatever works for you is ok. The adhesive is going to be tough to get out but it takes patience and time. What i did was take a Microfiber towel and put it on the trunk, sprayed the degreaser on the towel and let it sit on the adhesive for a good 30 mins while spraying the towel every 10 mins. You can use a bug tar remover tool from walmart or meijers and slowly scrape away the adhesive. Becareful not to scratch the paint, if you need to repeat the towel soaking step and scrape away again. Repeat until all the adhesive is gone.
Remember, be patient and let the degreaser do the work! goodluck~
Thank you for the tip!

Nice job...looks great.
I'd like it a bit better if you took the G off, but that's just my opinion.

Nice work.
Toughest part is finding the time.

Great work. I am inspired to try removing the doorhandle scratches with Scratch-X and a pad.

I buy the Mothers Clay Bar kit because it comes with 200g of clay and a bottle of lube, I also use Chemical Guys lube, i comebine the left over clay from the kit with the CG lube after i use up the Mothers Lube. That is the cheapest way ive done it.

Awsome work, and great detailed write up! I was trying to go back and look and see what product you used towards the end that made the car look like you put frosting on it almost, it really looks like it that put a good shine on it?

Check out detailedimage bro he has everything you will need to get started and more, he also tells you (in DETAIL) how to do everything you need to make your car look like this. Very easy to understand and he's on the forums if you have any questions for him he's always happy to help out a fellow Driver member.

When ya say you mean "this", what excattly do you mean, he's whole process? Most likely yes to small scratches. Nicks, depends how bad the nick is. If your fingernail gets stuck in it then it's probably good to bet that it wont.

Mequires 105/205 cut compound I must say works amazing, in addition to what the OP used.

What exactly do you mean by this, as for scratches and nicks, polishing will remove most light to heavy swirls and scratches. Nicks, i think you would be better off wetsanding. There is a thread on diy wetsanding that looked
