Mzerna Intense Polish, you can purchase it at DetailedImage.com
Clay bar first, then apply some polish to the pad, work it in under the handle just like you would waxing a car. Seal it and wax it.

Nice work! You didn't need to tape everything up like that, with a PC. Unless your trying to keep polish and dust out of the gaps. I saw you used WG DGPS, did you top it with a wax?

Great work man! Looks like a lot of work but sure looks like it was well worth it in the end.

Only thing I would do different is debadge the G and rest of the lil INFINITI letters. Just leave the mt fuji. Just leaving the G looks really out of place IMO.

Thanks for the write up. Have you tried the hydro tech pads because those work wonders on the car even better than the regular LC pads. I always thought Wolfgang would be a good product but never saw it in action.

Nice job on the detail looks great! That is a good tip on the door handle area, I will have to try it out. The only think I would change as well would be to debadge the "G" but to each his own. Very nice clean up job.

I will eventually debadge the G and the "Infiniti" I was just too lazy and i thought the G alone looked pretty amusing so I just left it.
As for the tape, it makes it a hell of alot easier to clean up.

The door handles, the clay bar really works well for this, it removes all the dirt out of the scratches making the swirls and scratches almost invisible, then to even get in there with a little polish and app pad, you can remove these imperfections.

I did top the cutting with sealant and wax. As you can see in my pics I have many wax 50/50s.

Thanks everyone for the compliments, keep it G'd up from the Feet up

Wowzah!

I wonder if all those products & methods would work as well on a black car

Theres definitely products around this price that will cure your black car! I detailed a Black honda civic with heavy swirls, and it came out great with a RedLC/MzernaIP/Pc7424. What i do is, take the hood of the car divide it into about 3 or 4 squares and test each square wit ha diff polish/polisher/pad and see which came out the best from just 1 pass. Then i take that polish/polisher/pad to the whole car.

damn that is friggin awesome bro! I have the exact same color/car. when i bought mine, it was very scratched up (like yours). now it's scratchless But I used Zaino products. Can you tell me how to debadge? I want to get rid of the infiniti lettering on the trunk. What products did you use? I"m thinking of using fishing line and goo-gone? Will this scratch my paint u think?

Again congrats on your ride!

I used Oral-B floss + simple green degreaser ( stated above )

Its simple, on a hot day let your car sit outside for about 45, spray alittle SG degreaser on the letters, take the floss and work your way between the letters and trunk slowly. I personally dont like goo-gone because it can make paint dull but whatever works for you is ok. The adhesive is going to be tough to get out but it takes patience and time. What i did was take a Microfiber towel and put it on the trunk, sprayed the degreaser on the towel and let it sit on the adhesive for a good 30 mins while spraying the towel every 10 mins. You can use a bug tar remover tool from walmart or meijers and slowly scrape away the adhesive. Becareful not to scratch the paint, if you need to repeat the towel soaking step and scrape away again. Repeat until all the adhesive is gone.
Remember, be patient and let the degreaser do the work! goodluck~
