Car wouldn't turn off!
This morning I pulled into work and when I pressed the button the car wouldn't turn off. The "key" light came on the dash but no response. I put the key fob in the slot and still nothing. I was trying to call the dealer (not there yet) and several minutes later everything went back to normal and the car turned off. When I left work it would not turn on! Again, key fob in the slot and no response. There were two strange icons on the dash, one with a steering wheel with oppsing arrows (as if to say I should wiggle the steering wheel) and another strange steering wheel picture. After several minutes of no response the car turned on.
Anyone else experience this?

From what I have read, I think the car will not allow you to turn it off if it notices that the battery does not have enough voltage to start it again later. So it waits until it does. Then it allows you to shut it down.
As far as the icons you see on the dash, I have never seen those.

douglas555, I just read the manual and this is what the symbol you're describing (arrows with steering wheel) mean:
Sterring lock release malfunction indicator.
This indicator apprears when the steering wheel cannot be released from the LOCK position.
If this indicator appears, push the push-button ignition switch while lightly turning the steering wheel right and left.
Hope this helps.
