Recording CD's... Am I missing something?

So I recorded a CD in my in dash player, and it appears the CD is totally recorded as it says 14/14 and it now will not let me push the record button again.

However... when I remove the CD all the songs dissapear, and nothing new shows up in the music box?!?

What am I missing?

I did not see the screen prompt me to do anything after the CD was burned?

I am guessing that there has to be something else I need to do.

Thanks for your help guys.

In my car, I just stick in a music CD and it automatically records it to my music box. No user interaction is required.

It will show up in the Music Box. Are you sure your CD recorded? It will show on the screen 2 of 10, 3 of 10 as it's recording from what I remember.... The CD will need to be in WMA format.. or watever the music format is....

Yeah it did all that... it went all the way to 14/14. And now it registers as if i recorded it because I cant select record.

I look in my music box and there is nothing.

Its a real CD not a burned one, and I am wondering if its write protected or something.

I will try a different disk.

Yeah, I'm not sure what to say. Definitely try a different disk and see if it works.

after it burns the cd, all the songs take awhile to transfer to the hard drive.

as for the peeps who put the cd and auto records, that feature can be changed to manual.

I would hate for the CD to auto record.

on my G37 once the cd is in, ill burn as normal, then once everything has transferred, I press disc button again to get to my music box.

NEVERMIND.....

User error.

I just did not know that there was more to the music box than the 12 songs showing. I guess i will have to figure out how to display the Music box items better....

I found my recorded music. It worked just as advertised.

Also keep in mind the track names will only show up if the album is recognized by gracenote.

yeah I am going to have to play with mine as it is grouping them by artist or playlist somehow...

Only when i began to toggle thru the artists did I realize that the CD was there along with a ton of others.

Anyone know if these things get deleted when you reset your ECU or if your Battery Dies?

How do I delete the existing recordings? Previous owner recorded bunch of musical CDs... Although I've been using the compact flash, I'd like to start recording some CDs onto the HDD.

Tracks can be deleted from the Music Box Settings screen.
You can delete one track, or all Music Box content.
4-52 in the manual

Once I record a cd I go into the musicbox and hit select by date and it will show up. It wont let you record a cd after you recorded it so that is why it wouldnt let you hit the record button again.
