I have an extra set of non-AFS headlight housing, originally so i could pull the clear cover off to replace the stress-cracked clear cover on my AFS-equipped headlights.

Since i finally got Infiniti to replace them under warranty, i have the extra set just gathering dust instead.

But it got me thinking, i've always wanted to paint the inside of the headlights. It would be great to do it on the extra set so i can keep the relatively newer set intact.

Question is, would the vehicle's computer complain if i installed a non-AFS headlight assembly into my AFS-equipped car?

The housings themselves are somewhat different, even the place to adjust the light aim is slightly different.
