So anyways, new to the forum, going to be joining the Infiniti family tomorrow, and here are my choices:
Would you get an 08 G35X with around 25k miles for $24K or an 09 M35X with around 15K miles for $29K?
Which is the better value? I'm a family man now, but still enjoy spirited driving. I've test driven both, and the acceleration feels pretty equal, but haven't taken both through the twisties. Price is an issue, but not a terrible one.
Basically, if you were in my shoes, could afford both (although the G more easily) had two young children, which would you go for?
I realize this might be slanted asking it on a G forum, but try to have an unbiased opinion. Either way, I'll be sure to let the decision be known. Thanks for any and all responses.

 

G's more fun, M's classier w/ more room & luxury. I'd probably lean toward the M since I'm so pissed about the Gs crap paint, I'd like to think the M has a better paint job. If the paint's lousy on both models I'd tilt toward the G since it's a blast to fling around

 

M35,

 

G is gonna be an awesome car, M is also an awesome car but its just a bit bigger and more luxurious so it depends on what you want. The G35 is a little more sporty so thats why I chose the G35 over the M35 but either way you can't go wrong with infiniti

 

I chose the G35 over the M45 because I use it more for solo commuting to and from work than shuttling my son around (we have an SUV for that). Just ask yourself what the primary purpose of the car will be.

An M35 is a little under powered for my taste too.

 

damn, I'm coming from 5hitty Subaru paint; I'm not pleased to hear this... 14 hours and counting...more opinions please.

 

I've never driven the M so can't give you a comparison...sorry.
I have had the G35x 3 years. As far as space goes, I have 3 kids 10 to 14 and have no problem commuting all of us around the city in the G. My son and I play hockey too and we can get or gear in the trunk no problem.
One thing about this forum you will find is there actually is not major bias toward the G. If someone here moves on to a nice Truck, Audi, BMW or Lexus we give props and always like to discuss other brands here too.
Get which ever one appeals to YOU the most.

Both very nice cars....I personally like the look of the G much better. Before I bought mine, if i saw a G driving down the street it always made me look...the M didn't...at least for me.
Probably can't go wrong either way...can't beat that!

 

G is a lil cheaper 2 insure and u'd probably get better gas mileage since its 400 lbs lighter than the M.

 

I would go for the M35x...

 

i would still keep looking around.
The M has horrible resale value, i could of bought a fully loaded M for the same price i paid for my G.
If you look hard enough you can prob get a new M37 for a few k more
And as far as paint goes, all infiniti have crappy paint jobs.

I would lean towards the M for what your looking at as a better deal. I haven't driven the M but from a lot of experience with the G I know theres no way in helll youll be dis.

 

I would definitely get the G unless the M was a 45. The M is bigger and bulkier.
