So, I just noticed after washing my car today that there are plenty of hairline cracks inside the headlight housing. When the headlights are on it is very noticeable especially with the yellow parking lights. I brought it in to see what the dealership had to say, and I got the famous "it because your car is lowered, which causes more stress on the headlight housing, every car that came in with this problem is lowered so basically your S.O.L" LOL... is anyone else having this same problem with there headlamp housing?

Yep, i had those stress cracks as well, one headlight then the other. After my 3rd try at the dealership, the 4th saw it and said "yep, that's a warranty issue" -- differenct service advisors on each instance. Oddly enough, the first three were no longer employed.

only noticed this on my g after painting the housings.....so i am obviously s.o.l....wish i had noticed the stress cracks before.....i still dont see how they can possibly relate this problem to your car being dropped lol....but in the end nice job, it always pays to be relentless

I think my question is still in topic with the OP so ... would someone please explain,one way or the other, how lowering your car can place extra stress on the headlight housing causing hairline stress cracks. It sounds ridiculous!

I was thinking of going to the dealers and seeing if the used G's have the same problem since they're not lowered and taking pictures. Then I would call the corporate office and forward them the pictures and see what they say. By the way my bro is a tech at a Honda dealer and said he had to replace 5 headlight housing on the odeyeses because of heat problems that cause the hairline cracks.

Just another bs response, if you ask me. I don't see how that affects anything at all. For the record, mine developed the cracks *way* before i lowered the car. Actually, it started happening a few months after i bought the car -- first on the passenger side, which got worse as time passed, followed by the driver side.
