should i get my interior trim carbon vinyl wrapped?
Hey guys im contemplating if I should get my interior (washi?) pieces wrapped with carbon wrap.
I got my car used so center console has extensive scratches along the corners (idunno how but i guess someone tried taking the stereo out with a flat head and scratched it up a bit on all corners )
I was looking for something to put over it and found someone who will wrap all the washi door pieces and center console and little pieces over the driver and passenger side (just want I needed to cover up the damage!)
My car is liquid platinum so it would match the exterior color well. here are some pics of a 335 he did
I think it would look good and cover up the annoying imperfections I constantly stare at in the car. What do you guys think? im curious... last thing i want is a 'ricer' mod

The picture that you see is actually straight out of the factory. It isn't real carbon fiber either.
First time i've heard that a stock M series interior looks rice.

I dont think you can just replace those pieces on the center console other than buying a new one (with all buttons etc) which would be really expensive.. unless you can point me in the right direction...

1st. Those pictures aren't from the factory
2nd. That vinyl job right there sucks ***.
3rd. If you wanna do it right, do it with the CF fabric that's used in the real M3.
Whoever did that job in those pics straight sucks, the corners of the vents are messed up, he didn't bother removing the chrome trim that's on the ash tray door and just wrapped it right over.
If you do it... do it right, someone who has more experience.

actually, here is a picture from motortrend for the interior of z4 M. My friend has 1. Its not real carbon fiber, but it looks very good. And yes, it is from the factory for the Z4 M.
That vinyl job the op posted doesn't look bad at all.

You are correct that it's not CF; it's leather.

I haven't seen it in person yet but I think Mike's looks pretty good too. His was a direct replacement of parts and is not just a wrap, but CF with a gloss finish.

Personally, I still love my wood trim.
