I've installed all the braces now...and yes Mr.Michael - the car now feels much stronger from a rigidity standpoint. Handles better too - expecially on any kind of turn. I stand by it should feel this good coming from the factory.

Also - While I was at Riverside Infiniti having the install done....played in all the cars...LOVE the new M56S. Insane detailing on even the gauges. If it were not so big - id get it. But the 2012 G should fall in line with the new design ethic - and be a hot ride.

Long weekend here....so got some mods done.

1. GTSpec front tower brace and 4 point front subframe braces.

2. Side marker blinker mirrors wired up.

3. "Ghetto" rubber seals for all 4 doors - makes a HUGE difference on noise.

and the second most important.

4. Sound deadener in all 4 wheel wells above liner.

I cannot express how much of a difference the deadener makes when driving.

The road noise is reduce dramatically. I was thinking when this was paid off to get a 370z as a second car...but everyone on that forum complains about the roadnoise...and many have done the wheel well liner. It works.

I've attached the link to the liner i bought. Only took an hour and 1/2 to do all 4 wheels. Much faster with lift and impact wrench.

See attached pics.

Next weekend - LED fogs, Custom MGP Caliper covers, and re-tinting of the fogs and tail lamps...

Then I'm done for a bit.

WHEW!

WHEW!
Where did you get the rubber seals for your doors?

I have never seen anyone do that before? I imagine it could make a huge difference.

I think i go the rubber at HomeDepot...it's about 1 inch wide and 1/8" thick. Door has a nice "thunk" now when closing. But that's also because the entire interior of the door has BQuiet inside it, too.

How much of the bquiet thing you use for all four wheelwells? is 12 ft enough? And did you just stick them on the inside of the wheelwell?

I used almost 3/4 of a roll...I can't remember exactly which one I bought...but i used and entire roll for the interior - not including the headliner...

Will that 6 point GT spec brace fit on awd models? does this replace that cross bar(crossmember?) in the center of the car?

You'll h ave to check with GTSPec about the X models. Not sure. The braces and sound deadening are the best mods - from a comfort and driving standpoint one can do.

I was told by a GTSpec vendor on here that the front lower bars won't fit the X. The rest do.

A GT Spec rep said the best bang for the buck is in the rear bars/braces anyways.
