the matteness of the rubber doesn't look good with shininess of ob imo. black it out, but with glossy paint

 

i am really surprised most of you suggested to color-match with the OB. I actually like the contrast between matte black and the gloss OB. Plus, i like the 'aggressive' look to it(i'll PD the emblem too). Anyway, i guess i'll PD it, and if i don't like it, i'll peel it off. I just really dislike the chrome; too much blings imo.

definitely does not like the all-around blacking out, also. a black car with all black around is just plain ugly and boring. :-)

 

Just to give you an idea of Duplicolor spray can. Matches pretty good. You could only tell the difference by getting really close.

 

The only chrome you will see in my car is the Mt. Fuji in the front and rear..

 

I'm down with the matte black as well. Do it, then peel it off if you don't like it.

 

I like the matte did mine tonight...im am ok with the result, not pleased tho it doesnt like separating from painters tape nicely

 

Whatever you do, just get rid of that chrome. Once you paint or plasti the grill it will definitely make the Mt. Fuji emblem stand out. I used duplicolor on my grill and I can barely tell the difference between my black duplicolor grill and the factory paint job on the rest of the body.

 

Yes I instantly love the mostly black grill and wish I had just painted the thing the way I plastidiped it. I am way to OCD for plasti dip
